input needed. no bears needed.

Things are a little different around here.

A bit grayer.

I'm combining this blog and my stylish but utterly unused writing blog. I'm trying to merge my personality as a blogger and my personality as a writer, and I'd like to know if the new look *works*.

I mean, I love duck and I love cake, but they don't combine well.

Can you imagine a cake with webbed feet? Me neither.

I'd love to hear your thoughts and advice on the new color scheme and layout!

Just do what feels best, you can do both I guess. I don't want to eat cupcakes everyday, sometimes I like to eat duck more. So... one day (or week, or month) when you feel like writing, you write more, and when you feel like something elso, you do so. The key is to find balance, but that's the hardest part I guess?

PS oh and ... sometimes you need to take a break to see things clear! Maybe take a (little) vacation?

I'm not a fan of the new layout, especially the grey color. It honestly makes your blog look drab which the content is anything but.

It's too boring and serious for you!

I'm not a big fan of darker backgrounds (I always have to end up highlighting some fonts because they seem to blend), but I do love the header! I think merging the blogs is a great idea. Keeping up with two is a pain in the arse.

If you ever say anything bad about duck cake again, we'll no longer be friends.

Also, I like the look.

I thought I was in the wrong place! It looks... really pretty. And very serious.

Also? Nothing wrong with ducks AND cupcakes.

I think the white font on gray background is kind of hard to read. Also, gray does make things look a little drab. I only know you as a blogger, but your content always strikes me as sparkly and playful, so the gray does detract from that a bit. Maybe something a little... fancier? more girly? You could go with Goth/steampunk fancy if you want to keep it dark.
Just throwing stuff out there, not like that I'm an expert or anything. :)

Whoa, lots of mistakes in that comment! I meant, "not that I'm an expert or anything". -_-

That's a duck? It looked like a Dodo, I thought ducks had bills instead of beaks... I like the gray, but seeing how bad a judge of things I am, that should count as advice against it.
